Wells-next-the-Sea.

Although a small town, Wells can boast an indoor swimming pool, gym, health centre, dentist, optician, theatre and library, as well as a dispensing chemist and a good range of shops and pubs. Watch the fishing boats bring in their catches of crabs and lobsters while sitting on the quay eating French's fish and chips. Enjoy a glass of wine and good food the cosy bar of the Edinburgh Hotel. or for a special occasion try the Crown Hotel, or the dining room of the Golden Fleece, overlooking the quay.

There are many interest groups and clubs, including sailing, tennis, croquet, badminton, water-skiing, as well as local history, drama and discussion groups.

Within a short distance of the park there are beautiful beaches, pinewoods, Holkham Park and countryside dotted with pretty unspoilt villages and hamlets. Visit the birthplace of Nelson, or one of the many historical churches in the vicinity.
